"Be Pro Be Proud" Visits Yadkin County Schools

Yadkin County Schools middle and high school students experienced hands-on, interactive experiences in the Skilled Trades Professions during their visit to the Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop.  The traveling mobile unit houses job simulators, and VR (virtual reality) technology headsets to demonstrate skill professions such as welder, heavy equipment operator, plumber, excavator, truck driver, and more. Students visited the unit in small groups for a 45-minute session.

The mobile workshop has visited Starmount High, Forbush Middle, Forbush High and will be at Starmount Middle later this month.

Students also learn how to access the Be Pro Be Proud website to obtain lots of valuable information on various jobs and careers.

A HUGE shout-out to Mrs. Donna Reavis for her efforts in making this happen for these YCS students!
