This year, the Sport & Event Marketing and Hospitality & Tourism Management classes at Forbush High School, along with FHS DECA (Forbush High’s Marketing Club) partnered with Richmond Hill Law School, a treasured yet underutilized local historic landmark. Through this collaboration, students took on the role of marketing professionals—designing original logos and developing licensed merchandise prototypes to help reimagine the site’s brand and visibility.
Using these new designs, students
created gifts for Commission members and produced Richmond Hill Law School
magnets for every fourth grader in the county, helping spark early community
awareness. In addition, students developed event proposals aimed at engaging a
younger audience, offering fresh ideas to bring new interest to the historic
site.
Recently, students had the
opportunity to visit Richmond Hill Law School to bring elements of their event
proposals to life. DECA students took the lead in facilitating activities,
while Sport & Event Marketing students actively participated throughout the
experience. Many of the Richmond Hill Law School Commission Members were
present assisting to facilitate, while engaging as active participants in this
experience alongside students, giving them a firsthand look at how the historic
site could be used in new and interactive ways to connect with younger
audiences. The visit showcased the site’s potential as a dynamic educational
and community destination for future generations.
This project highlights not only
the creativity and innovation of our students, but also the exciting potential
of Richmond Hill Law School as a vibrant destination for future generations.
