Forbush High Health Science II Students Learn about PPE & Contamination

It's PPE contamination day! Students in Mrs. Sloan’s class applied simulated blood to the outside of their PPE, which is personal protective equipment worn by healthcare professionals. Once applied, students removed the PPE. If the simulated blood was on their clothes or skin they were " contaminated".  Students also learned about blood borne pathogens and how communicable diseases in healthcare are spread.

These students are learning real-world career skills. Way to go students...and Mrs. Sloan!
