Forbush HOSA is Successful at State Leadership Conference

Forbush HOSA competed in the HOSA State Leadership Conference April 12th - 15th. Forbush HOSA and Forbush HOSA members were presented with the following awards listed below. A few of these students have qualified to compete at the International Competition in Texas over the summer.

A big thanks to Michelle Saddler, Abby Davis and Jennifer Foster for all of their help with students that allowed me to serve in my current role for NC HOSA. 

Forbush Chapter Awards:

·         Gold Star Chapter

·         American Red Cross-Clara Barton Service award for collecting over 

       300 units of blood

·         Prevent Blindness Service Award for Participation

·         Be The Match Service Award for Participation

·         Barbara James Service Award Silver Level-Riley Jester

·         HOSA Happenings 5th Place

 Individual achievements and awards:

·         CPR/First Aid: 2nd skills Round Maddie Tise/Katie Dalton

·         EMT:  2nd skills round Riley Jester/Rylee Kiter

·         Extemporaneous Writing: Carley Joyner 5th place, Emily Beavers 7th place

·         Health Career Display: Payton Casstevens/Lanie Jester 6th place and 

       Elissa Cox/Noelle Kiger - 8th place

·         Health Career Photography: Kaitlyn Suarez 3rd place

·         Medical Assisting: Gael Nabarro 10th place

·         Prepared Speaking: Madison Moore 2nd Place and Haley Smith 6th place

ALSO, Mrs. Adrianna Sloan was awarded the Advisor of the Year award for the state of North Carolina for the second consecutive year.
