Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Olivia Ferrelli, this year’s CTE Teacher of the Year for Yadkin County Schools.  Ms. Ferrelli teaches the Food and Nutrition I and II as well as Career Management courses at Starmount High School.

Ms. Ferrelli brings years of experience from the private sector into the classroom.  She holds very high expectations for her students, and is excited to see them try new things as part of the Foods curriculum and also to see them succeed.  Ms. Ferrelli is also involved with the National Technical Honor Society that recognizes high achieving CTE students.

The other finalists for CTE Teacher of the Year were Mrs. Angie Funk from Forbush High School, Mrs. Melanie Matthews from Starmount Middle School, Mrs. Michelle Saddler from Forbush High School and Mr. Steven Calloway from Forbush High School.

Congratulations to all the nominees and again to our winner, Ms. Ferrelli.
