Forbush HOSA is Successful at State Leadership Conference

Twenty-One Forbush HOSA students competed in the HOSA State Leadership Conference in March and received some very special awards. FHS competes against 4A schools who bring 200 plus students , so our accomplishments are huge. There were 2 awards sessions. The recognition session that focuses on chapter achievements and the general awards session that focuses on competitive events. If you see these students please congratulate them. Several of them have qualified to participate at the International Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN in June.

Recognition Session

·         Gold Star Chapter

·         Prevent Blindness Participation

·         American Red Cross - Highest Number of blood units collected in NC among all high school   drives. 

·         HOSA Happenings-2nd place, Carly Phillips

·         Barbara James Service Award-Emily Tryee – highest number of overall service hours

·         Honorary Life Time HOSA Member- Norah Smitherman

·         Adrianna Sloan-Advisor of the Year

  

General Awards

·         Morgan Beamer-1st place Vet Science

·         Lizzy Bobbitt-2nd place Health Care Issues Exam

·         Emily Cook- 3rd place Health care Issues Exam and top 10 sports Medicine

·         Emily Tyree and Riley Jester- top 10 CPR and First Aid

·         Lindsey Hutches and Aubrey Pettit- top 10 Career Health Display

·         Daisy Maya- 3rd places Extemporaneous Writing

·         Stacy Lowe- top 10 Physical Therapy

·         Carly Phillips, Lace Kiger, Samantha Lunsford, Itzel Angel-top 10 Creative Problem Solving
