Animals Science Students Dissect Fetal Pigs

Animal Science II students in Mr. Allen’s class at SHS enjoy their unit on fetal pigs. Dissection of the fetal pig allows students to see each body system and the corresponding organs in three dimensions.  The students can also see first-hand how the body systems are connected.

Dissection is also a very hands-on way of learning about body systems and anatomy, as opposed to reading a textbook or going through a PowerPoint.
